2009's "The Principal Extinction" is the culmination of over 5 years of effort, from the summoning of the muse to the cutting of the final master record. It is not a concept album per se, but it struck a very certain, albeit untrodden path across the steppe of lyrical concept. The album title's meaning is, for our intents, the same as that of "Demontage" itself: the dismantling of an illusory veil. The unification of the Self with the Enemy. The realization of mortality. The reckoning of the infinite. The expiration of human dominion.
